Q3 Art Inc.’s designs are 100% unique and crafted with passion. With a small team of three, we create each and every component of our products by hand out of our Chicago-based studio. Our process begins with recycled sheets of raw aluminum from which we forge our desired size, shape and texture before proceeding onto anodization. Committing to this meticulous process ensures each part renders a sleek, clean finish, ideal for assembly and consistently high-quality wearable and decorative art your customers will love! Anodizing is a low-emission, electrochemical process that enhances the natural oxide layer on the surface of metals, such as aluminum. This creates a durable, corrosion-and-scratch-resistant finish that we achieve through hand-dying in-house.
As light-weight as they are breath-taking, all mobiles are conceptualized by Q3’s founding artist, Marvin Shafer. A mesmerizing display of balance, Q3 mobiles are produced in a range of sizes and colors. Over the years Marvin has created nearly 100 unique “air-sculptures,” the largest measuring a stunner 50 feet! On our website you will find a range of mobiles measuring between 9 inches and 6 feet.
